1. The service
Thawabak is a free site offering group khatmas, dua requests, prayer times, a Ramadan timetable and the Hijri calendar. It needs no account. We may develop, change or stop any part of the site at any time.
2. Acceptable use
When using the site, you agree not to post or do any of the following:
- Ads, links, phone numbers or any commercial content.
- Offensive content, content against public decency or Islamic teachings, or content that incites hatred.
- False information, or impersonating anyone.
- Personal information about someone else without their permission.
- Attempts to disrupt the site, send automated requests in bulk, or get around usage limits.
3. Content you post
- You are responsible for what you write in khatmas, dua requests and messages.
- Dua requests are public and visible to every visitor. A khatma is visible to anyone with its link.
- By posting content, you allow us to display it on the site.
- We may hide or delete any content that breaks these terms without prior notice. A dua request that is reported repeatedly is hidden automatically until we review it.
4. Khatmas
- Anyone with a khatma's link can reserve its juz and take part.
- The admin link gives full control of the khatma, including editing and deleting it. Keep it somewhere safe and don't share it.
- We can't recover a lost admin link, because the site has no accounts.
5. Times and dates
Prayer and imsak times are calculated astronomically, and Hijri dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar. They are provided for guidance. The official authorities in your country are the reference for prayer times and for the start of Ramadan and Eid. Thawabak is not responsible for any difference between what it shows and what those authorities announce.
6. Religious content
Verses and hadith on the site are quoted in full with their sources. The site does not issue fatwas or religious rulings. If you find a mistake in any text, please tell us through our contact page.
7. Intellectual property
The site's design, logo and text belong to Thawabak. The text of the Quran and the hadith belongs to no one. You're welcome to share links to the site, but you may not copy its design or logo for use in another site or app without permission.
8. External links
The site may link to other sites, such as Quran.com. We are not responsible for their content or policies.
9. Disclaimer
The site is provided “as is”, without any warranties. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't guarantee it will always work without interruption or errors.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Thawabak is not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from using the site or from being unable to use it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
